Send an SMS Message

Important: Sending messages via this endpoint will incur SMS charges.

Marketing and promotional SMS is not permitted. The From address of SMS messages sent via the Messaging API depends on the user's Country/Region. It may be alphanumeric or numeric, depending on the capabilities of the telecommunications system in that country. If the user has set up Premium SMS on their account, then their custom Sender ID will be used for any messages sent through the Messaging API.

Phone number of the message recipient in E.164 format, including + prefix, country code and area code

Content of the SMS message. Special characters are not supported. Messages longer than 153 characters will consume multiple SMS credits.

uuid

UUID of the job that this message is regarding. This is used to link the message to the job in ServiceM8, causing the SMS to appear in the job diary. If you do not specify a job UUID, the message will not be linked to any job.
