Issue: ServiceM8 Custom Fields Impacting Wink Reports
There’s no way to control who can edit custom fields in ServiceM8, so field staff can accidentally or deliberately change important & sensitive dropdown values.
This corrupts the data I rely on in Wink Reports for performance, incentives, and cash collection. Changes make reports inaccurate and can enable staff to game the system.
Requirements
1. Editing Restrictions by Platform
• Allow dropdown custom fields to be editable just like how it is on the old version before enhanced job card (I am still using the old
Job card of 2023 so I can still edit the drop down menu on desktop version but cannot edit it on mobile version as my field staff cannot tamper it but even this is still very weak and not very happy with this
2. Audit Tracking in Wink Reports
• Expose “last edited by” for each custom field (username or unique user ID) so Wink Reports can show who edited the field last.
3. Per-Field Locking via Security Roles
• Add the ability to lock/restrict specific custom fields by Security Role (not generic staff role).
