Staff.json Security Role not being updated

Is any progress has being made with fixing the staff.json API endpoint that is currently failing to apply the security_role_uuid to newly created staff objects?

This is currently holding up the development of an add-on with dependencies on properly applying the security_role_uuid to staff objects.
